Plitvice Lakes National Park is open to visitors all year round. The touring and sightseeing zone mainly covers the area around the lakes and the waterfalls. There are many hiking trails and two educational trails. We recommend you obtain up-to-date information about the available tours prior to making your visit, as the tours are largely affected by the current season and the weather conditions in the Park. The opening times and entrances available also vary accordingly. Another thing worth noting is the multitude of steps (the ascent) and the altitude difference of 133 m between the first and last lake (Lake Prošća and Lake Novakovića Brod).
