Nin is a small city with around 3 000 inhabitants, situated 16 km
northeastern from Zadar. Settlements Nin, Ninski Stanovi, Grbe, Zaton (Holiday
Resort), Žerava and Poljica Brig are all in the authority of the City of Nin. The center of centennial city is a small island with 500 m long diameter. It
originated on a sandbar of small river Miljašić Jaruge's embouchure into the
sea. The island is linked to mainland on two sides by bridges. On the northern
side the island is encircled by a sandbar and weekend resort Ždrijac; on the
eastern side there is a saltern and on the southern and western sides there are
the younger parts of the city itself. Nin spreads in several formed zones:
historical island, weekend resort Ždrijac, new part of Nin, Bilotinjak and
Ninske Vodice. We recommend to see the
Museum of Nin Antiquities, Bishop Grgur of Nin's Statue, Prince Branimir's
Statue, Višeslav's Baptistry, St Cross's Church and Upper and Lower Door. You
